Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a fishing licence in Musandam?
Our tour includes all required permits. You don't need to arrange any licence yourself. We handle all permissions with the local fisheries authority.
Can I keep the fish I catch?
Yes! We practice catch-and-cook when possible. Your catch can be cleaned at the harbour or arranged to be cooked at a local restaurant. We do practice catch-and-release for protected and juvenile species.
What's the best time of year for deep sea fishing?
October to April is peak season. The water is calmer (especially Nov–Feb), and migratory species like kingfish, tuna, and sailfish are abundant. Summer (June–August) is hot but grouper and barracuda are still active.
Is deep sea fishing suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Our captain and mate will set up the equipment, instruct you on technique, and help you fight the fish. Bottom fishing is easiest for beginners, while trolling for pelagics is more advanced but still guided.
How far offshore do we go?
Typically 5-20 nautical miles offshore into the Strait of Hormuz, depending on the package and conditions. The Strait of Hormuz charter goes further (up to 30nm) for larger pelagic species. You'll be fishing in some of the most productive waters in the Arabian Sea.
