Our Khasab City Tour takes you on a half-day exploration of the land-side wonders of the Musandam capital, guided by a passionate local who knows every corner of its history.
Your Cultural Journey Includes:
Khasab Fort (القلعة): Built by the Portuguese in the 17th century and later expanded by the Omani Sultans, Khasab Fort is the most iconic landmark in Musandam. Explore its towers, ancient wells, traditional weaponry, and exhibits on the history of the Shihuh people — the original mountain inhabitants of Musandam.
Khasab Traditional Souq: An authentic Omani market where locals sell fresh fish, traditional Omani silver jewellery (khanjar daggers!), frankincense, dates, and spices. The perfect place to find authentic souvenirs and experience daily life in Musandam.
Wadi Qada Petroglyphs: A short drive from town brings you to a remarkable ancient rock art site where prehistoric humans carved images of boats, animals, and human figures into the limestone — over 2,000 years ago.
Khasab Coastal Promenade: Walk along the seafront promenade with stunning views of the harbour, traditional fishing boats (huris), and the fjord mountains beyond.
