Snoopy Island is located off the coast of Dibba, at the southern end of the Musandam Peninsula. It's about 200 metres from Sandy Beach Hotel. The closest city is Fujairah (UAE), about 30 minutes away.
Is Snoopy Island in Oman or UAE?
Snoopy Island is technically in Omani waters (Musandam). However, it's easily accessed from the UAE side. Sandy Beach Hotel is on the UAE/Oman border. No visa is needed to access the island from the UAE side of the beach.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to visit?
The swim from Sandy Beach is about 200 metres. If you're not a confident swimmer, you can rent a kayak or join a boat trip. Life jackets are available. The water is calm and shallow near the island.
Is Snoopy Island free to visit?
The island itself is free. However, Sandy Beach Hotel charges a day-use fee (around 75–100 AED on weekdays) which includes beach access, pool, and the closest launch point to the island. You can also access from public beaches nearby.
What is the best time to visit Snoopy Island?
October to April for comfortable water temperature and visibility. Early morning (before 9 AM) has the calmest water and fewest people. Weekdays are much quieter than weekends (Friday-Saturday).
