Khor Najd
Khor Najd (خور نجد) is widely regarded as the most spectacular natural viewpoint in Musandam. From a rocky promontory high above the coast, you look down upon turquoise fjord waters snaking between sheer mountain walls — the scene that earned Musandam its nickname, "The Norway of Arabia".

About Khor Najd
Khor Najd is a dramatic inlet where the mountains of the Musandam Peninsula drop steeply into the Arabian Sea. The viewpoint sits approximately 500 metres above sea level, offering a bird's-eye perspective of the fjord-like inlet below.
The landscape is unlike anything else in the region — jagged limestone peaks, created over 250 million years of geological activity, frame a narrow channel of impossibly blue water. On clear days, you can see across the Strait of Hormuz to the Iranian coast.
Getting to Khor Najd is an adventure in itself. The rough 4x4 mountain road winds through terrain that changes from coastal scrub to barren lunar landscape as you climb higher. The journey is half the experience, with dramatic views unfolding at every turn.
