Unique Architecture
Bukha Fort features a distinctive circular tower design that's unique in Oman. While most Omani forts have square or rectangular towers, Bukha's round towers give it a distinctive appearance.
The fort was originally built to protect Bukha's harbor and to control maritime traffic in the region. Its elevated position provided an excellent vantage point to spot approaching ships.
In recent years, the fort has been carefully restored using traditional building techniques. The mud-brick and stone construction has been preserved, maintaining its authentic appearance.
