From Doha, fly to Dubai International Airport — one of the shortest Gulf routes at just about 1 hour, with frequent Qatar Airways and flydubai departures throughout the day. From DXB, rent a car and drive 2.5 hours north along the E11 through RAK to the Tibat border crossing into Khasab. The entire journey from Hamad International Airport to Khasab takes roughly 5–6 hours including airport logistics and the drive.

Qatar Airways operates early morning flights from Doha that land in Dubai by 8:00 AM. Clearing immigration at DXB and collecting a rental car takes about an hour, putting you on the road by 9:00 AM. You can reach Khasab by 11:30 AM, in time for a late-morning or afternoon tour. For maximum efficiency, fly the previous evening and leave Dubai at 5:00 AM.

Qatari nationals enjoy visa-free access to both the UAE and Oman, requiring only a valid Qatari passport. The 35 AED UAE exit fee at Tibat is the only charge. Non-Qatari residents of Doha should verify both UAE and Oman visa requirements based on their nationality — apply online for both well before travel. Keep all e-visa printouts handy at the border.

- Assuming Doha-level restaurant variety in Khasab — there are only a handful of eateries, so adjust expectations.
