From Kuwait City, fly to Dubai International Airport — a quick 1.5-hour flight with frequent services on Kuwait Airways, Jazeera Airways, flydubai, and Emirates. From DXB, pick up a rental car and drive 2.5 hours north on the E11 through RAK to the Tibat border and into Khasab. The total transit from Kuwait to Khasab is about 6–7 hours, making it very doable as a long-weekend trip.

Take an early morning flight from Kuwait International Airport (T4 for Jazeera, T1 for Kuwait Airways), landing in Dubai around 10:00 AM. You can be on the road by 11:00 AM and in Khasab by 1:30 PM — just in time for an afternoon boat tour. Alternatively, fly the night before and leave Dubai at dawn to maximize your first day in Khasab.

Kuwaiti nationals enter both the UAE and Oman visa-free with their Kuwaiti passport — no pre-approval or fees beyond the 35 AED UAE exit toll. Non-Kuwaiti residents of Kuwait must check both UAE and Oman visa requirements, as these vary by nationality. Carry your Kuwaiti civil ID alongside your passport as a secondary identification.

- Scheduling a tight flight connection on the return, not accounting for potential delays at the Tibat border.
