From Riyadh, fly to Dubai International Airport (DXB) — a 1.5-hour flight with multiple daily options on Saudia, flynas, flydubai, and Emirates. From Dubai, drive 2.5 hours north via the E11 through RAK to the Tibat border crossing into Khasab. The total journey from door to door is approximately 6–7 hours including the flight, airport transfers, and the drive. Pre-booking a rental car from DXB Terminal 2 (budget airlines) or Terminal 3 (Emirates) streamlines the transition.

Take the earliest morning flight from King Khalid International Airport (usually departing around 6:00 AM) to land in Dubai by 9:00 AM local time. After collecting your rental car, you can be on the E11 by 10:00 AM and in Khasab by 12:30 PM. Alternatively, fly the evening before, stay near DXB, and drive up at dawn for a more relaxed start.

Saudi nationals receive UAE visa on arrival for free. For Oman, Saudi passport holders also enter visa-free as GCC nationals. Non-Saudi residents of Riyadh should check both UAE and Oman visa requirements well in advance — some nationalities need pre-approved visas for both countries. Carry your Saudi iqama alongside your passport.
