About Musandam Trekking
The Musandam Peninsula — often called the "Norway of Arabia" — is famous for its stunning dhow cruises through the fjords. But hidden above those turquoise waters lies a world that most visitors never reach: dramatic limestone mountains carved by millennia of wind and rain, ancient Bedouin trails, and remote villages where time moves slowly.
Our one-day guided trekking tour takes you into this secret Musandam. Walk the same paths used by the Shihuh people — Musandam's indigenous mountain tribe — for hundreds of years. Discover 250-million-year-old marine fossils embedded in the limestone cliffs, evidence that these mountains were once an ancient seabed.
At the summit viewpoints, you'll look down on the very fjords you might have sailed through on a dhow cruise — but from a perspective that makes you feel like you're standing on top of the world. The silence up here is extraordinary. Just wind, eagles, and the distant glitter of the Gulf of Oman far below.
Difficulty: Moderate. Suitable for reasonably fit adults and children aged 10+. No prior trekking experience required. Our guides set a comfortable pace with regular breaks.
