Khor Najd Tour

Musandam's most spectacular viewpoint — where mountains meet the sea

Photography Paradise 3–4 Hours From 20 OMR

About Khor Najd

Khor Najd (خور نجد) is, quite simply, the most breathtaking viewpoint in all of Musandam. From a rocky promontory high above the coast, you look down upon a scene that seems almost impossible: turquoise fjord waters snaking between sheer mountain walls that rise hundreds of metres on either side.

This is the view that earned Musandam its nickname — "The Norway of Arabia". The fjord-like inlets, the dramatic mountain backdrop, the crystal-clear waters — it's a scene that stops every visitor in their tracks. When you see it in person, the photographs simply don't do it justice.

Getting to Khor Najd is half the adventure. The rough 4x4 mountain road winds through rugged limestone terrain, past remote goat herder camps and through narrow passes that open suddenly to reveal glimpses of the sea far below. The drive itself is an experience — part off-road adventure, part slow revelation of one of nature's greatest spectacles.

How do you get to Khor Najd?
Khor Najd is accessible only by 4x4 vehicle via a rugged mountain road from Khasab. The drive takes approximately 45 minutes each way over challenging terrain. Our professional drivers know the road intimately.
Can I visit Khor Najd without a 4x4?
No — the road to Khor Najd is unpaved and extremely rough. A high-clearance 4x4 vehicle with an experienced driver is essential. Do not attempt in a regular car.
How long does the Khor Najd tour take?
The standard Khor Najd tour takes 3–4 hours including driving time and photo stops. The full-day combo (Khor Najd + Jebel Harim) takes 8–10 hours.
